Alain Caron is a French Canadian jazz bassist. The youngest of 11 children, Caron started playing bass at the age of 11 and started to follow jazz at the age of 15. His musical skills were formalized by attending correspondence classes with jazz improvising teacher Charlie Banacos and attending a summer session at the Berklee School of Music.
