The word, therefore, the sacred ‘verbum’ which becomes chant, is the propulsive element of Durighello’s creative fantasy (…). Durighello’s music is difficult to classify or contextualize in a precise stylistic category, exactly because it lives in a mythical, fabulous time-space, neither past or future, suspended in a dimension of an extraordinarily lyric and emotive amplitude, that then, on closer acquaintance, reveals itself to be the testimony of a personal stylistic cypher, free from any demarcation of time and space.
