Mireille Mathieu (born 22 July 1946) is a French singer. With more than 1200 songs in 9 different languages and sales of more than 120 million records worldwide, it is described by the French press as the successor of Édith Piaf. On the 100th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower, he sang La Marseillaise, the national anthem of France.
