Emil Cossetto (Trieste, October 12, 1918 - Zagreb, June 28, 2006) was a Croatian composer, conductor, choirmaster and music pedagogue.From his earliest childhood he lived in Zagreb, where he graduated in conducting from the Academy of Music in 1947. He has collaborated with many domestic and international art ensembles. He was for many years the conductor of several choirs, including the Mixed Choir of Radio Zagreb, the JNA Symphony Orchestra in Belgrade and the Croatian Folk Dance and Song Ensemble LADO in Zagreb.He left the biggest mark in choral amateurism. In 1945 he founded the mixed choirs of OKUD "Joža Vlahović" and KUD "Moša Pijade" and led them for many years. He collaborated with the former "Vlahović", who changed his name to the "Emil Cossetto" Mixed Choir on May 1, 1992, literally to the death.
