Bruno Tonazzi at the Tartini Conservatory - Trieste
Bruno Tonazzi, concert guitarist and musicologist (Trieste, 15 September 1924, Trieste, 9 November 1988). Having perfected himself at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena with Andres Segovia, he undertook a brilliant concert activity at an international level which saw him perform as a soloist in important musical institutions, always enjoying a wide consensus of critics and audiences. He also devoted himself intensely to musicological research, transcribing for guitar tablatures for lute and ancient guitar. Of particular importance was the publication in 1975 of Giacomo Gorzanis' I ° Libro de intabolatura di lute (1567) with an interesting bio-bibliographic study.
