Anna Cannon
Anna Grace Cannon is an Invercargill-born teacher, musician and composer. Anna teaches a variety of instruments, composition and theory full time at her studio in Otatara and is passionate about creativity. She began writing music at the age of fourteen. Anna enjoys writing music for her students to play. In 2015 the St Cecilia School of Music accepted five piano pieces into their exam syllabus. (Tweed Street Blues, Storm in A Minor, Bluff Harbour Blues and Moonlit Splendour.) In 2015 Anna received a merit award for her piano piece Aramoana, Pathway to the Sea from Otago University for the Lilburn Trust Prize in Music.
