Brian Harold May (born 19 July 1947) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, record producer and astrophysicist. Lead guitarist of the rock band Queen.Brian May co-founded the band with lead singer Freddie Mercury and drummer Roger Taylor. When May Staffell, who was in the Smile group with Roger Taylor and Tim Staffell during her university years, left the group and Freddie Mercury joined the group, she founded the Queen group. Since the day he started his music career, he has been using the guitar called "Red Special", which he made with his father.
