Anselm (Josef Aloys) Schubiger von Uznach was a benedictine priest and kapellmeister in Einsiedeln Monastery. From 1839 until 1842 he taught at the monastery school and was at the same time assistant kapellmeister. From 1842 to 1859 (with interruptions) he was kapellmeister of the monastery.
