Emilio Balcarce
Emilio Juan Sitano, better known as Emilio Balcarce (Buenos Aires, February 22, 1918 - ibid, January 19, 2011), was an Argentine violinist, bandoneonist, conductor, arranger and composer.Attracted by music, his first instrument was the mandolin. He studied violin from 7 to 13 years with Orlando Paiva and Cayetano Marconi, and counterpoint, harmony and fugue with maestro Juan Elher, joining Ricardo Ivaldi's ensemble in 1935 as his brother's successor and to make some arrangements.
