Description
This version of Kyrie Eleison...
(more) in E minor composed by me is the beginning of my plan of writing a new mass setting for the Holy Eucharist in Anglican church and Divine Service in Lutheran Church. The entire song is in Baroque style but an influence of Taizé religious works by the unrest repetition of a simple and clear theme where in this song it is sung by the congregation instead of the choir. Martin Luther's idea of "songs for congregation" is emphasized heavily.
The song begins with a short organ prelude. Then a peaceful chordal continue until a troll appears (chords changes from harmonic to inharmonic, then harmonic again). The third part emphasize on "contrasting": quite and solo vs loud and tutti (polyphonic). The fourth part is a variation; rhythm changes a lot and the texture becomes more complex and the congregation rests. The fifth part is the most complicated part of the entire song, however. Congregation sings the main theme while the SATB sings their own melody. Notices that bass use a lot quavers so as to create tensions. The final part is silent and dim, with a chordal texture and then come to the coda.
