This beautiful aria from a...(more) secular cantata has been set in a lower key (from Bes to G) ; the trumpet (or clarinet, or oboe, or voice) plays (sings) the aria itself, whereas a combination of lighter instruments (violin, flute, oboe...) plays the obligato line of the accompaniment in duetto.) May be used as a version for alto, of mezzo-soprano, if you add the words, easily to be found on internet (Bach Cantatas).
